"Isolation (Twenty Twenty)" (2020) is series documenting escapism in the worldwide lockdown of 2020. It features texture-heavy work where dark values and warm colours are contrasted to create an otherworldly glow. The landscapes, although surreal and dreamlike, evoke a feeling of anticipation, of approaching horror, and the need to take shelter, to cover one's head and hide. To become another creature in the woods.

Twenty twenty vision is blurred and myopic// landscapes of places visited in dreams or in waking// all whilst never leaving one place// all while being all over// parametered and curfewed // waiting and muted// G-d caught me mid bluff// I guess I had it coming.
